Phenomenal Austin Guitarist, Lance Keltner, recently shot a demo video of one of my new P-1SVs, here's the link - CLICK HERE , you've got to check it out! He also recorded some killer sound clips that I will be adding to my player ASAP. The guitar, #028, was the first to be offered up for sale by newest representative, Destroy all Guitars. The guitar sold within one day of arriving there... Great job Cliff!

We just posted shots of three new guitars I just finished. P-1 #014 is a study in understated beauty. It has a stunningly beautiful Maple top and Black Limba back, finished in satin lacquer, and sports Haussel pickups with Ebony covers. Numbers 033 and 034 are two pieces I did in collaboration with famed NYC based artist John "Crash" Matos. Both are going on exhibition at The Showroon NYC, from 10/25-11/9. Check 'em out!!!!

I've been buried! I guess that's a good thing, eh? I've just added a couple more pics to the Gallery. P-1 #017 is an absolutely stunning example of how killer a piece of wood can look. It is one of the oddest figure formations I have ever seen. I've also just completed the first prototype of my newest model, the DL, named after my muse for life and wife, Dana Leigh. It's a double cutaway, 3 P-90, hardtail shredder! Available to order starting mid October. Check 'em both out on the Gallery pages! Cheers!

Well the additions have begun! There are new photos in the Gallery of a few guitars that I just finished up. Check out 013, it's a righty-lefty hybrid that just looks amazing in Translucent Fiesta Red with Ivoroid binding and a cream Moto pickguard. Thanks John Q. for your patience and support! Also, there are now Sound Files up in the Products area. Many thanks to Glenn Webster, (owner of The Celt and our first official Artist Endorser), for recording these clips for me. To hear them click here!

Welcome to my new website! It's hard to believe that I've been back building guitars long enough that it was time to re-vamp the site. Once again Adam, at Anon235, has done an amazing job for me. Good thing I'm his dad or this would've cost me a fortune! We still have some areas that we plan on adding over the next couple of months, like sound files and expanded galleries, so keep checking in.
Look around... I hope you like the new digs!

Well, I've been buried lately, not only with building but also at the design table. My new model, the "DL", is just about done with the engineering. I hope to start making templates within the next few weeks and have a few prototypes in process by July... cool stuff! I've also begun the design process on a new bass with my good friend Bill Giles. The "WG Bass" is in perfect alignment with my design goal of trying to make each piece timeless both in aesthetic and tone. It's got an old school flair that's not forced... which I'm totally diggin'!
I have a P-1SV spec piece available for sale (no year+ wait like the custom orders). It's a tasty Trans Fiesta Red one on an Ash body with a Honduran Mahogany neck with a Brazilian board, Suhr pickups and Moto P/G. Photos are posted in "The Boutique" section of my forum - (CLICK HERE) Check it out, and if you're interested drop me an e-mail for pricing info.
Cheers y'all!

Check out the Gallery! There's some new shots of the latest guitars coming out of the shop. P-1SV, #019... (named "The Celt") is an Irish celebration disguised as a guitar. Ron Thorn inlaid a Scottish Thistle I designed at the 12th fret, and I spent a whole bunch of time with a magnifying glass cutting out a Celtic Knot on the nickel silver pickguard. The owner Glenn is a wonderful guy and has the patience of a saint! P-1SV, #020 is also new to the gallery. It sports a spectacular Redwood top that not too long ago was a piece of a barn here in Southern Oregon. The back is a muli-lam of Honduran Mahogany and 1000 year old Port Orford Cedar resurrected from one of the rivers up here (plus a couple of other accent species). She sings like a goddess! It's kind of a Pacific Northwest tribute... thanks Jerrod!

THE FORUM IS WORKING AGAIN! It came to my attention a couple of days ago (thanks to Eddie, aka s/n 001) that the forum was not allowing people to post comments. Turns out it was a code problem at the software and server level that we were not aware of. I guess it had been a problem for at least a few weeks. Thanks to Adam at anon235.com we were able to fix it today.
I've missed all of you guys... come on back and say hello. Oh, and by the way, new members always welcome! It's a great place to ask questions, get answers, or just chew the chew.
Talk to you soon!

I've just added Spec Sheets and an Option Sheet to my Price List page. They are in pdf format and you need to allow pop-ups to get them, but they are printable in case you want to print them out and read them later! I have decided to not publish price lists any more, but if you would like me to send you one all you need to do is drop me an e-mail. I need to know what country you.re in though because I use international distributors in some regions of the world. This is especially helpful to customers if they ever need any future service. The distributors can handle those situations locally instead of anything having to come all the way back here to the boonies! Wishing you all the best of the best! Cheers!

Happy New Year everyone! May you and your loved ones have a fantastic, healthy 2009!
By the way, I just posted a new story on my column "Functional Art" at Modern Guitars (.com). It's the first part of a multi-part series about the design and building of a new art guitar based on my 2005 award winning mixed media piece "Woman is the Machine". If you want to check out the column Just click here!

I.ve got the second batch of P-1s (and 1st run of P-1SVs) well on their way now. The first five are going into the paint booth tomorrow or Monday. With them this far along I can now start taking orders for the 2009 run. I will be taking an extremely low number of custom orders this year so that I can continue to work on some new designs. I.m hoping to finish the first proto of the "DL" sometime by mid-year and also begin design on the "WG" Bass as well... so my plate is full!
If you.re interested in placing an order drop me an e-mail, and please let me know what country you.re in. I.ll send you my current pricing and option sheet. I should be starting the next batch in late spring of 2009, with estimated completion by year end.
I wish you all a wonderful holiday season, and may peace be with us all through next year and beyond!
Cheers!

I just shipped P-1 Serial Number 012 yesterday... she's the last of the first batch of P-1s I started over a year and a half ago. I can't thank my first year clients enough for their support and patience with me. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I posted the pics of 012 in my gallery if you want to check her out. She's probably the fanciest one yet, Quilted Mahogany with Abalone binding and a Nickel Silver Trimguard overlayed with Abalam... pretty cool!
I'm now full-time on the guitar stands, so all you guys that have been waiting patiently for them, well, they're coming soon! The materials for the second batch of P-1s is now in the shop curing. I'll be chipping away at them in the next couple of weeks.
I hope you're all having a great summer... be happy and well and I'll be chatting with you soon!

I can't believe it's June already! Man the years are flying! I'm finishing up the first batch of P-1s (finally, I know), with the last couple shipping around the end of this month (I hope). I'll be finishing up all those guitar stand orders at that time and getting started on the second batch of P-1s and the first batch of P-1SVs. I sure want to thank everyone for their patience with me during this start-up mode. I appreciate it more than you'll ever know.
We've finally added the Forum link to the navigation bar above. I welcome anyone who'd like to get involved to please do so. Ask your questions, share your experiences, and chat away. You do not have to be a P-1 owner to participate. By the way, it's been great talking to all you guys that have joined up!
Just FYI, I have been asked to come down and MC the 10th Anniversary of the Kids Rock Free Educational Programs that I started at the Fender Museum... well, 10 years ago (duh). So I'll be down in Corona California for the event on Saturday June 14th. Paul Rogers from Bad Company will be performing, along with some of the kid's bands we had formed over the years. The Fender Benders will be opening the show. If you're down in the area and you want to come by go to their website at http://www.fendermuseum.com/ and buy some tickets!
I hope I'll see some of you there! Peace y'all!

Effective immediately I am suspending taking on additional custom orders for 2008. I will however be building several spec pieces this year that will be available for sale. I.m not exactly sure what they will be, but I.ve got some new ideas that I really want to work on. When they.re complete I.ll be sure to post them here.
Thanks again for all of your support!

Hi everyone,
Well the first P-1s are shipping and I'm in full swing on the remainder of the first batch. They are coming out exactly as I had envisioned... especially tonally, "extremely alive and responsive", very "acoustic". I have had several folks suggest starting an "Owners Forum" already, so people can chat back and forth as to their likes and experiences with my new guitars, so we've set it up. It still isn't linked to the website yet but it is fully functional. Be one of the first to register and chat with us! Just click here! I hope to expand it as time allows and I'll be visiting it several times a day, so ask away! It gives me a chance to clear my head in between sanding guitar necks and bodies.
Cheers and I hope to see you soon on the new John Page Guitar Forum!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! I wish all of you the very happiest of holidays and a wonderful New Year as well. I especially want to thank my very special clients for their truly kind support and patience this first year of John Page Guitars. Some of the first ones are just about ready to ship... so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Peace y'all!

Well, I'm still in the thick of getting this first batch of P-1s completed. I guess the first year of any new project is a bit rocky, but it's definitely taking me longer than I expected. My apologies to all of my wonderful clients and supporters. Thanks for your patience.
There is a new feature that my son Adam added to my website, and that is the "Scrapbook" button in the NAV bar above. It's just a collection of some of the snapshots I have from the years past at the Fender Custom Shop, my current Page Guitar shop and other random photos. It's just kind of a hoot. I'll be adding more photos every couple of weeks or so, it should be fun.
I wish all of you an abundance of peace and happiness through this holiday season, and thank you so very much for your support!

I just updated my "Functional Art" column at Modern Guitars magazine, with the "Building Number One" series. This installment is the second half of the body building, up to and including paint. To check it out, Click Here! Most of the first batch is now in paint, so they're moving forward. I've always likened the building process to human gestation, it's better not to rush it, and it's going to take at least nine months from start to finish. Yeah, I know, I'm a bit overdue. Don't forget to check out the Guitar Buyer article link on the lower left...it's a nice read!

Guitar Buyer Magazine did a really nice article on my new guitar venture and Proto 02 P-1 in their August issue. They were kind enough to send me the PDF files and give me permission to post it here. If you'd like to check it out, click on the images of the article on the lower left of the screen. There are actually two different articles, the one on the P-1 and also a group of builders discussing acoustic chambering in bodies. You'll get some opinions of what those little air chambers do... enjoy!

My computer glitched big-time a couple of days ago, and I lost all of my "in-box" e-mails. If you sent me an inquiry and I haven't responded, that may be why. Please re-submit your inquiry. Thanks for your patience and support! I hope you're all having a great summer!

The first batch of P-1's is unfortunately behind schedule. This first year has included a lot of expansion and re-arranging my "art studio/shop" into my "guitar shop/art studio". That, combined with the fact that I'm basically pretty anal, has put me behind a bit. I had hoped to ship the first batch by the end of August, but now it looks like that will slide to October-ish. I'm committed to making the finest instruments I can, in the manner in which I feel is critical, and that is taking me more time than I estimated. I thank all of my "inaugural clients" for their support and patience! The 2008 batch is mostly spoken for at this time, although there are still a couple of slots available. I expect those to ship next Summer.

Hi all! Just a quick update. I should be starting the painting process on the '07 batch of P-1's by the first of July. Because of that, I've decided that I'll begin taking orders again starting July 1st 2007, for the '08 batch of P-1's. I've already received quite a few Queue Deposits, but there are still several spots open for next year. If you're interested, drop me an e-mail. Also, I just updated my "Functional Art" column today at Modern Guitars Magazine, with the "Building Number One" series. This installment covers the first stage of the neck building process. To check it out, Click Here!

The 2007 batch of P-1's is well on their way in the building process and I'm having a great time building them! I thought it would be kind of cool to document the building of 001, so I have been. I will be posting the progress pictures on my "Functional Art" column at ModernGuitars.com. To check it out, Click Here!

It's official... the 2007 batch of P-1 Guitars is sold out! I have suspended taking additional orders at this time, but I have begun taking "Queue Deposits" for the Spring 2008 batch. The Queue Deposit locks in a slot in the next batch and assigns a serial number as well. If you're interested, send me an e-mail. I'd be happy to save you an '08 P-1!
