The Ashburn Custom

Description

The Ashburn Custom has a double-cutaway, 12¾”, 2-piece select Alder body, a one-piece, quarter-sawn Eastern Hard Maple neck (plus fretboard), Lollar Dirty Blackface S-style pickups, and a 6 point, vintage style Gotoh tremolo and staggered tuning machines. Although classically reminiscent of the famed S-style instrument, the Ashburn Custom has totally unique styling, improved playability and upper fretboard access, as well as a thicker lead tone due to the reverse angled bridge pickup. The neck-to-body fastening method (found on all of my guitars) of ¼-20” chrome-plated steel connector bolts, coupled to solid brass threaded inserts, not only give the strongest possible mechanical bond, but also adds a beautiful complexity to the overtones and harmonics. The stock instrument has top-loaded pickguard, front and back body contours, and bass-justified, Mother of Pearl fret position markers. Many additional options are available, for more info see the Options Page.
