It is very seldom that I have a guitar available for sale and immediate delivery. Most of my builds are commissioned, and come with a 18-24 month wait. But every now and then I build a guitar that I want to build that is not a request, this is one of those times.
JP-110 is an absolutely stunning variation of my P1-SV Custom model, with original, hand-painted artwork on all body surfaces (front, sides and back), by the amazing artist, Vince Carl. This is the third piece that Vince and I have done together, the other two are in a private collection in South Africa.
The guitar itself is an excellent player, with a body made of an Alder core, with Port Orford Cedar “wings”. The Alder drives the tone with a full range, while the POC adds a sparkle and ring to it, and keeps it light weight too. The Medium “C” shaped neck is made from a ¼ sawn piece of Eastern hard maple with an Ebony fretboard, and inlayed in Tru-Stone Turquiose, in my signature bass justified location. The JP Woodtone bridge is hand-made in my Oregon shop, and features a machined, solid brass plate, with Ebony and Stainless Steel saddles. The custom wound P-90 and Tele pickups are made by Howard Ulyate. Keys are Gotoh 510 minis with Ebony buttons.
