John Page Guitars Unveils New Baritone Models, Signature Line, and Retablo Art Guitar at NAMM 2026
Anaheim, CA — January 2026 — John Page Guitars returns to NAMM with a series of major product announcements that reflect the continued evolution of John Page’s original designs, including the debut of AJ and DL Baritone models, the public unveiling of John Page’s Retablo art guitar, the Matt Muehling Signature Ashburn, and the full John Page Signature line.
AJ & DL Baritone Models
John Page Guitars is introducing baritone versions of its AJ and DL models, built around an innovative 23-fret neck design developed by John Page. This approach allows the baritones to retain the familiar ergonomics and balance of the standard AJ and DL bodies while delivering extended scale depth, clarity, and articulation. The result is a baritone that feels immediately comfortable to players while expanding the tonal range of the platform.
The John Page Signature Line
NAMM also marks the official showcase of the John Page Signature line, including the AJ, DL, and Ashburn models. Handcrafted in the USA in small quantities by master builders under John Page’s direct oversight, the Signature line carries forward the design philosophy, proportions, and tonal intent of John’s personal custom instruments—now made available to qualified retail partners worldwide.
Retablo: John Page’s Art Guitar
For the first time publicly, John Page will unveil Retablo, a one-of-a-kind art guitar that reflects John’s lifelong interest in craftsmanship, history, and storytelling. More than a decorative instrument, Retablo represents a deeply personal expression of design and narrative, bridging fine art and functional guitar building.
Matt Muehling Signature Ashburn
Also debuting at NAMM is the Matt Muehling Signature Ashburn, developed in collaboration with guitarist and composer Matt Muehling. The instrument is built on the Ashburn platform with refinements tailored to Muehling’s touch, tonal preferences, and dynamic range, resulting in a highly expressive guitar suited for modern players seeking nuance and versatility.
A Legacy, Still Evolving
With more than five decades of guitar design behind him—including co-founding the Fender® Custom Shop and shaping modern bolt-on electric guitar design—John Page continues to refine and expand his original concepts through John Page Guitars, focusing on feel, balance, intonation, and consistency above all else.
John Page Guitars will be exhibiting at NAMM 2026 and participating in Media Day and the Creator Lounge.
