The DL has a double-cutaway, 13” lower bout, 2-piece, select Alder body, a 1-piece, ¼-sawn, Eastern Hard Maple neck (plus fretboard), and a Hipshot non-trem bridge. It also features 2 JP-3P pickups in the neck and middle positions and our JP-3T reverse-angled bridge pickup.
The neck-to-body fastening method (found on all of my guitars) of ¼-20” chrome-plated steel connector bolts, coupled to solid brass threaded inserts, not only give the strongest possible mechanical bond, but also adds a beautiful complexity to the overtones and harmonics.
The stock instrument has top-loaded pickguard, front and back body contours, and bass-justified, Mother of Pearl fret position markers.
The Medium C neck is extremely comfortable and provides an ideal amount of mass to become a key component in the tone production, especially when coupled to the body with over-sized machine screws, specially designed grommets, and solid Brass threaded inserts.
The Bloodline® JP-3PR (P-90) pickup in the neck position, and the JP-3P in the middle position, are wound to give them more clarity than is normally associated with this style of pickup. Partnered with the JP-3T, a classic T-style bridge pickup at a reverse angle, the trio work to give you a great, full classic tone, excellent clarity, no ice-pick highs, and noise cancelling in positions 2 and 4.
The bass justified fret dots improve player visibility while adding to the aesthetic vibe I always shoot for.

The DL by John Page

John Page Signature
The John Page Signature DL is a hand-crafted, boutique electric guitar that honors the legacy of one of the world's most legendary guitar craftsmen-John Page, co-founder of the Fender Custom Shop. This model is a Relic: a true-to-form homage to the original relic concept unveiled by the John Page-helmed Custom Shop in 1995. They are lightly aged by hand in Los Angeles to John's exacting spec; the same spec John perfected at the Custom Shop and are our only guitars to feature a nitro finish and lightly aged hardware.
The DL body is a double-cutaway with contours that hug the body, making for an incredibly comfortable guitar on the strap on the knee. Carved from select ash and finished in a beautiful Relic Sonic Blue, the guitar's body is paired with a quarter-sawn Signature Medium C maple neck and an Indian rosewood or maple fretboard. The neck attaches to the body via machine screws and threaded inserts, transferring an articulate, resonant tone between neck and body with a distinctly vintage-inspired feel. The sculpted heel, contoured body, and lightweight construction showcase Page’s iconic ergonomics—effortless in hand, flawless on stage.
The DL features our hand-wound Bloodline® JP-3P (P90) pickups on the neck and middle positions and our JP-3T reverse angled pickup on the bridge, capturing a broad tonal range—from sparkling cleans to punchy midrange growl, all simply by transparently amplifying the acoustic properties of the wood. Combined with compensated saddles, Kluson tuners, and hand-shaped bone nut, the DL is a true evolution of the Fender sound, familiar yet totally unique.
